The Seniors Club was founded in 2000. The club counts its second decade as a social movement for the elderly. The main purpose of the club is to combat loneliness of the elderly. The club promotes an atmosphere where independent seniors, whether single or couples, can come and comfortably participate with other seniors with common interests. Opportunities to gather together bring meaningful results in improving happiness. Together seniors can share and solve relevant problems, provide and receive advice, discuss contemporary issues, celebrate birthdays and other important occasions. Currently the club has about 40 active members.
A great deal of attention in the Seniors Club is paid to health issues. Since the majority of the club members are elderly, this topic is particularly relevant. Doctors and advocates of a healthy lifestyle often host presentations in the club, sharing their experience or teaching the seniors useful tips. Other Senior Club activities include discussions and workshops related to culinary, recreational and sports topics.
The Seniors club also actively organizes concerts and maintains close relations with Polish, Russian, Lithuanian and Belarusian public clubs and communities.
